Clinical Research Administration (CLARA) is the electronic clinical research information management system for submission, approval, and tracking of human subject research studies. The Clinical Research Administration system is used for submission of new human subject research protocols and review by multiple oversight committees including the Institutional Review Board. It is also used to perform comprehensive institutional review of clinical trial budgets (including Medicare coverage analysis), for submission and management of clinical trial agreements and other research related contracts, and for all correspondence with the Institutional Review Board throughout the life of the study.
